Yes, a name change. Let's start there. I (we) have grown in the last nine years and learned a lot. We started knowing nothing about running a business but a ton about marketing and technology. I now fully understand the basics of business and still learn daily. With the change noted below, nothing for your business changes. Your still price locked into the plan you are on which is our commitment to you.

In 2013, we started as JM2 Webdesigners & Marketing with two friends and our spouses forming a company (e.g., JM Squared). Our growth truly exceeded every goal we set for ourselves. We were obviously underestimating our abilities to help businesses.

In 2016, we changed our name as we moved to Valparaiso, Indiana. There were three marketing agencies with similar names, and businesses were getting confused. Even though each business used their initials (must be something with J and M for a name). Someone had to stepup and change, and we rightfully volunteered to do it. We wanted the name to stand out, and being my wife, Holly, loved Yeti's, we incorporated that into the company name. We grabbed YETI as a YETI is a beast everyone believes in yet has never seen. We didn't count on or honestly think about the potential for being sued by other companies where they may feel our name was too similar.

The State of Indiana approved the name but as we start to move to being a national company, we need to look at potential legal obstacles we might run across. As we've grown and now have a twenty-year plan that is very aggressive and robust, we wanted to focus on the growth and not worry about any legal actions that could take place.

After a year of deliberation and talking, we have chosen that it would be best to change. The change we feel is regal, symbolizes who we are, shows that we've truly grown up, and ties in with our company history. We have hired a lawyer to do extensive checks in the USA and abroad for what we're planning on doing over the next twenty years of our business plan. Although we have not been sued or even given a cease and desist, we would rather side on the side of caution and not risk getting into a legal entanglement that could cause us to pay thousands of dollars to a lawyer. After going through several dozen names, we've come up with Fawkes Digital Marketing.

Let's go into what "Fawkes" is. Fawkes is a phoenix that is reborn after it dies and comes from the ashes of what it once was. Because we are killing off Business YETI and being reborn from the ashes, we are coming back focused, more knowledgeable, and stronger than before. The colors of our phoenix incorporate CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) as part of the feathers to symbolize our graphic design side, orange for the head radiates warmth and happiness, combining the physical energy and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow. The black on the head isn't a solid black like it is on CMYK but a little lighter to symbolize the differences and creativeness the entire team brings to the table.

We have always believed that a marketing agency should be silent and not boast or brag about doing any of your marketing. We feel we are your silent growth partner to helping you achieve your dream. This is not changing as we move forward and you will continue to see us sticking to the highest moral values for your marketing.

We are still focused on our four primary services from a services standpoint as we don't want to spread ourselves thin. These are:

  • Website Design focused on Lead Generation
  • Organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Online Reputation Management
  • Social Media Management

For our writing, video editing, and photography, we utilize experts in your backyard that are highly focused and experts in their field. We do this so that you always get the best of the best. Over the last nine years in business, we have chosen not to be a "Jack of All Trades." We would rather be true masters and provide you with the best of everything your business deserves.
