Communications: Sending Messages

Whether you are sending an email or text to your subscribers, sending messages is a key part of any communication.
General Information
- Scheduled Date: This is the date/time when the newsletter will be scheduled to go out.
- Sent Date: A non-editable field. This will be filled in by the system when the campaign is officially run. Whether the running be scheduled or sent instantly.
- Non-HTML Text: In some email clients a 1-2 sentence summary is shown.
- From Name: This is who the newsletter is from. If this is blank the system will use the default settings.
- From Email Address: This is the email address the newsletter is from. If this is blank the system will use the default settings.
- Regarding: This can be any account within the system this newsletter is being sent from. This is normally left blank.
- Sent To Group: This will be the group the newsletter is sent to. By defalut, there are groups of All Accounts, All Portal Users, All Subscribers, All Account, Portal Users, & All Subscribers, Only Test Users.
- Template: This is a custom template you want to send from. The default template of (None) or Default will give you an email that has your logo at the top and name at the bottom.
- Scheduled: Check this to tell the system to schedule the message rather than just instantly sending. Note: If you have the scheduled date blank and choose scheduled the system will still treat the message as to be sent instantly.
- Show on Website to Anonymous Visitors: If you are using your CRM as a public website you can make previous newsletters to automatically show on your website.
- Show on Website to Logged in Visitors: If you are using your CRM as a public website you can make previous newsletters to automatically show on your website but require that users be logged in to see the newsletters.
- Send Test Only: No matter the group you've chosen only those in the group that are marked as "test users" will receive the email. This is great for testing and making certain only you get it first.
- Send As Email: When sending a newsletter you will want this checked. Other options can be Text (SMS), Text (MMS), etc.
- Subject: This is the subject for the email.
- Message: This is the message body of the email.
