Use Gmail To Send And Receive Your SmarterMail Emails

Requirements

Your account must have POP access enabled. This is off by default.

Receiving Email Messages

1. Log into your gmail account.
2. Click on the gear icon toward the top right near your profile picture.
3. Click on See all settings.
4. Click on Accounts and Import.
5. Click on Add a mail acocunt in the section labeled "Check mail from other accounts:".
6. Enter in your email address.
7. Click Next.
8. Choose "Import emails from my other account (POP3)".
9. Enter in your username (this is your email address)
10. Enter in your password
11. Enter in your POP server (see below) on incoming and outgoing servers
12. Set the port to 110.
13. Check "Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server." (great for backup)
14. Check "Label incoming messages: ___your email address___"
15. Click Add Account.
16. Check the box that says (default) "Yes, I want to be able to send mail as ___your email address___."
17. Click Next Step.
18. Set the SMTP Server to the outgoing server below.
19. Click Add Account.
20. Click Close window.
• Note: You will receive an email. Click the link to confirm the email address.
