Do NOT RUIN your Social Presence

On my way from the office this afternoon I received an email from a client wanting to BUY fans in hopes of making more money. The email they received during the middle of the night promised to do just that. It will NOT. It will hurt you long term, hurt your running contests and marketing campaigns down the road.

The only purpose of buying fans is to boost your EGO that you have a ton of fans. That is it. Your engagement in your social feeds will drop, your page views will go down, and reach less people each week.

You will notice most of these "great accounts" are from either hacked accounts, are fake accounts, or from places that you would never do business (e.g. India, Africa, etc.).

We've done a lot of cleanup for new clients (typically more than what these lists cost). It is better to have a hundred fans that will buy your products and services than 5,000+ that will do nothing for you.

The best thing you can do for your social media is promote it to your current customers, ask for it to be shared, be true to yourself (and your business), and most importantly provide value to your customers.
